Our first conversation

When you’re ready to take the first step, we’re here to guide you. We welcome your enquiry and are happy to answer any questions you may have about designing and building your new home, renovation, or extension.

Our initial conversation is your opportunity to share your ideas, discuss your goals, and gain clarity around what’s possible for your project.

In-person consultation

Following our initial discussion about your project, site, budget, and design aspirations, we’ll schedule a dedicated meeting at the Artisan Living office. During this session, we’ll review your scope in detail and walk you through similar completed projects so you can better understand what will be involved.

Having a clear budget in mind at this stage ensures we can align your vision with the best design and construction approach—helping you achieve a result you love without unexpected cost pressures.

Once we have a solid understanding of your design direction and desired investment, we’ll prepare an estimate of probable costs so we can confidently move forward into concept design development.

Concept Designs

Once we’ve discussed the specifics of your project and refined your budget, you may choose to proceed with a customised Concept Design Package from Artisan Living. These designs are tailored exclusively for you—aligned with your brief, budget, and site requirements—and include bespoke 3D renders and detailed floor plans.

The process begins with a collaborative design meeting involving you, our building design partner, and our licensed builder to ensure every idea is well considered before drafting begins.

Preliminary Building Agreement (PBA)

When you’re satisfied with your concept design, the next step is entering into a Preliminary Building Agreement. This stage allows us to develop a fixed-price proposal for your new home, renovation, or extension, incorporating the fixtures, finishes, and details you genuinely want through a thorough selections process.

To ensure complete accuracy and transparency, we undertake a thorough and detailed quoting process.

This extensive review allows us to fully understand the requirements of your project and provide a true fixed-price proposal you can rely on.

As part of this stage, we also coordinate detailed engineering drawings, complete your working drawings, and manage the submission of all necessary permits. While this phase can be extensive, it is essential to ensure your final contract is transparent, comprehensive, and free from any hidden surprises.

Contract Signing

Once your fixed-price proposal is finalised, we’ll meet with you to review all inclusions, drawings, and project details. When everything is clear and agreed upon, you’ll be ready to sign your construction contract—officially moving your project into the build phase.

Construction

This is where your vision finally comes to life. Whether your project involves a new home, renovation, or extension, our team manages every stage with precision and care. For some projects, construction may begin with the demolition of an existing structure before we move into the build itself.

Throughout the process, we’ll arrange regular site meetings to walk you through key milestones and ensure you feel confident and informed at every decision point.

During the construction phase, you’ll have access to your own online Client Portal, providing daily updates, progress photos, and a central place to manage selections and respond to any requests for information. This ensures complete transparency and keeps you connected to your project every step of the way.

Completion

The moment you’ve been anticipating has arrived — the day you receive the keys to your beautifully crafted home.

Before handover, we carry out a comprehensive series of quality control checks to ensure your project meets our exacting standards and is free from defects.

Your satisfaction is our priority, and we take the time to ensure every detail is exactly as expected before we complete the handover.
